Who We Are
Our church, Freedom Free Will Baptist, began as a new mission work in September 1992 in Hilliard, Ohio in a rented facility. After a year we were in search of property to establish a permanent location and perhaps build a new building. During this same time the Union Free Will Baptist Church had lost their pastor and most of their congregation. The churches were only nine miles apart. God, by His divine intervention, helped the two small congregations join together and form the Heartland Union Free Will Baptist Church. It was evident that God’s blessings were upon the new church and soon an additional 4 acres of property was purchased and in 1998 a new building was dedicated. God’s work has progressed with new people being saved and others working and giving sacrificially to make this a great church.
Our church has mothered a new church in London, Ohio. Pastor Tim Mcknight and his family have moved there and with the help of the Ohio State Mission Board now have a new building on twenty acres.
When the church decided to use some special television commercials it was decided that the church name, Heartland Union Free Will Baptist, was rather lengthy. So in 2004 we changed the name to Freedom Free Will Baptist. Our church is a member of the Cornerstone Conference of Free Will Baptists and is a part of the Ohio State Association and the National Association of Free Will Baptists.
We are committed to the Word of God and teach and preach it exclusively as our rule of faith and practice. Our junior church is a wonderful place where children are taught the Word of God and learn to worship. The Word of God is given primary place in our worship service along with a good blend of music and testimonies from the congregation. We are servants committed to the great commission and we are children committed to our Heavenly Father and to one another. Join us as we work and worship until Jesus returns.
